Question by Vampiress Rayne: How Do I Transfer My IE Favs from My WinXP to Win 7?
I am going to be getting my Win 7 laptop this week and I was wondering if there is a quick, easy, and painless way of transferring my IE favs from my WinXP instead of doing it the old fashioned way of writing them down. Please let me know ’cause I have a whole mess of them. Thanks!

Do a search for a folder called “My Favorites” (there will be a My Favorites folder for each user on the computer.) In that folder are all your bookmarks. Copy it and place in into the My Favorites folder under your user id on the new computer.

Go to XMarks (http://www.xmarks.com/ ), download the add-on and set up an account (it’s free). Synchronize your computer. When you get your laptop, install the addon in it and synchronize the laptop. (I have about 6 computers and all have the the same bookmarks [I use Firefox, but it works the same in IE] at all times.)
